What have you learned from your audience feedback?

For a part of getting feedback of my ancillary task and music video I made a format survey which include questions such as "What do you like about my music video and why?" and "Does it fit the genre?" . I asked members from my media class and asked them to fill out the questionnaire; from the feedback I presented a few of the comments my using wordle.

Editing

When editing my music video I had to create a new project In adobe Premiere Pro , I named this Project 'Your song' as it would be easy to find in my G drive when editing the music video . I changed the settings DV-PAL, Widescreen 48kHz this would make the music video widescreen when I upload onto YouTube.

When editing my music video, I use a range of editing tools to intercut shots in my music video, Also by changing the lip-syncing scene to black and white by using special effects to create different effects and changing colour of some shots. I also had to add the track by importing the track onto adobe and then I matched the shots to the beat of the song and also for the lip syncing part.

From my first draft of my magazine advert, I have made changes to the font colour and also I have changed text and also include logo of music companies to where the album can be available from to create a more professional look to the magazine advert. In the magazine my advert would be sideways in the magazine as it is landscape . I have decided to use red font for the artist name to make it standout from the background and also for the cd/download and for the magazine title .

This is my draft of Digi pak, in my digi pak I wanted to create an professional look also I want to keep the theme from the music video and the magazine advert thoughout the promotion of the album .I decided to use an light and soft tone of colour thoughout the digi advert, also I use the same type of font and colour to keep the contrast the same .I also use review from music magazines and also I have use my own images from the loncation of my fliming in the digi pak .

First Draft

This is my first draft of my music video, As a first draft I think I have got the bringing of the music video in line as I like the lighting and my editing decision in into cutting with the two characters, in my next draft is ant to re film the lip signing scenes.

Filming

On the first day of filming the weather was beautiful and the lighting was perfect. Everything went to plan on the day of filming as I followed the time schedule and also set the white balance for each shot in the music video. Also I made sure that the camera was set up apporaite and also that I had the camera in the correct position before fliming. I also made sure that before fliming that the loncation was clear and also that I wasnt disburting memebers of the public.

Story Board

For my story board I have roughly drawn out shots for m music video, this is just a draft as I am still thinking about what shots and scene to shot for the music video. In my music video I want to create a story feel to the music video as I think that it will keep the audience entertain and also I want the audience to be able to link to the music video this is why I want to keep my music video as realistic as I can and I have decided to use a romance in my music video as I am aiming my music video at young adults and they can relate to my video as this is when they start to experience their first love .This story board is just an draft of what I want to achieve in my music video.

This is the track I want to use in my music video, this is a demo as I the artist is making a few changes to the song and will be emailing me the track by the end of the week.

Nicholas told me if i every want to use one of his tracks i was more and welcomed to, he also offered to create a new track for me but that wasn't necessary as i already found the track i want 'Paranoid' as I love the track.

I decided in the end that I didn’t want to use this track in my music video as he showed me one of his other songs 'Your song' which I liked better and I think it fitted with the music video better.

Actors

Looking for actors to take part in my music videos, provide to be a hard task as I don’t know any actors personally so I ask friends of mine who are good at acting to take part in my music video. For the male part in my music video I wanted someone who is tall and has dark hair and for the female part I wanted pretty natural faced girl to play the girl in the music video.

I have chosen Emily because she is a very good at acting and also I think she had the look for the music video with her natural hair and make up and sense of style.












Brad Evans

I have chosen Brad because I think he was the handsome heartthrob look for the music video as this is common to have a handsome boy in music videos also he had the look I want looking for , for my music video.

For my magazine advert i wanted to create an advert that promote the artist and also  I want the artist to standout this is why  i wanted to have a close up image of the artist face on the front cover of the advert.I have also include important dates when the album is released and also where the album  is available to buy from. Here below i have designed a rough draft  of what i want my magazine advert to be like, this is just an idea but i hope to achieve and professional outcome when creating my magazine advert.

Camera angels & Positions

In my music video, I want to use an range of different angels and shots as I want to create different effects by using different contrasts and I want to keep the audience interested also I want use black and white scenes I will do this by editing the clips in the editing progress. I want to use different mixtures of shots as:

• Extreme close up -
  
  I want to use an extreme close up of the male character eyes so he is connecting with the audience; also I want to use an extreme close up of the characters mouth when he is singing.
• close up-
  
  I want to use an close up shot as I think its an powerful shot as you  can see the characters emotion  and also you can see the character true colours , I am going to use this range of shot  of the male and female character s face in the music video .

• medium shot-
  I want to use a medium shot as you can create a different length of shot and you can limit on what you can see also you can create different cuts with this angel. I want to use an medium shot when filming in front of a white back ground for the singing section in my music video also I want use an medium shot when cutting between the two characters.

• long shot-
  I want to use an long shot as you can see the whole body of the characters body and also you can see what the characters looks like, I want to use an long shot of the male character singing also I want to inter shot between shots to create an atmosphere.

• over the shoulder shot-
I want to use an over the shoulder shot as you can see the characters emotion on their face also it shows a sense of discussion/connection between the two characters.

• two shot-
  I want to use a two shot as you can create an establishing shot of a relationship and you can see both of the characters emotion in the shot.

• tilt- i want to use an tilt shot as you can create different angles then keeping  the camera on the same level.

I want to use a hand held camera shot in one of the scenes as the music videos seems as a home video and it the audience can relate to the music video.

Props

For some shots in my music video I do not need many props, However in one of the settings I plan to have two of the actors in a rowing boat with the female taking pictures of the male laughing and joking togther.Also in one of the scences I want the actor to be looking back at the photos and happy memories, i want to show this by using flash back shots.

Risk Assement

I have  created an risk assessment highlighting potential risks and hazards which could occur on the day of fliming

Video Camera:
there is a risk of the camera getting broken and the lens smashing and also getting camera wet whiles filming by the river this will cause problems whiles filming I  shall make sure that I am careful will the camera at all times.

Falling over:
Whiles filming I shall make sure that actors and myself are wearing the correct footwear and take care whiles moving about whiles filming.

Caution of the River:

When filming I shall be careful whiles filming by the river as they may be a risk someone will fall in also I shall make sure actors are seasonable and safe whiles filming.

Public:

Whiles filming in public I shall make sure that my cast and I behave and respect the members of the public whiles filming, I shall also film in isolated areas to avoid upsets by the public.

Illness:
If on the day of filming and one of the actors of the group fall ill I shall reschedule filming and time as I am limited to a deadline.
